Condominium and HDB rents fell in Singapore

Decrease of 0.2 % detected in Singapore’s private condominium and apartment rentals. At the same time, HDB rents fell by 0.8 % as well in June from May and volumes keep on dropping, too.

In June - compared to May - rents of condos and private apartments fell by 1% in CCR (Core Central Region). In the RCR (Rest of Central Region) rents edged up by 0.7 % and fell 0.3 % in OCR (Outside Central Region).

From May to June volumes fell by 1% including 4 637 units, whereas the same in June 2017 was 0.6 % lower, including 4 609 units.

Let’s have a look at three-room flats. In May it was 0.7 % higher than in June, and 1.6% higher in the case of four-room flats. Executive flats decreased as well in June by 0.9 %. The only increase in June was 0.1 % among five-room flats.

Rental volumes fell, too. Comparing to May, to 1 735 flats it fell 5.8 % and a year ago, in June 2017 it was 5.1 % higher.
